Virgin Material is an advanced biological filtration media specifically designed for high-performance trickling filter wastewater treatment systems. Manufactured using 100% virgin polypropylene, it offers exceptional mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and long service life, ensuring reliable operation even in demanding industrial and municipal applications.
The uniquely engineered wheel-shaped structure provides a high specific surface area, creating an ideal environment for the growth of beneficial microorganisms. These microorganisms develop a stable biofilm that efficiently degrades organic contaminants such as BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) and COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), resulting in superior wastewater treatment performance and improved effluent quality.
Its open and lightweight design allows for excellent air circulation and uniform wastewater distribution throughout the filter bed. The enhanced oxygen transfer promotes continuous biological activity, maximizing treatment efficiency while minimizing the risk of clogging and channeling.
